We are actively seeking a Fuel Cell Assembly Technician; the successful candidate takes pride in their work and is committed to safety and quality. The successful candidate will be responsible for:


  • Performing complex and advanced assembly of products according to established specifications and work instructions
  • Helping develop assembly and test procedures to implement Design-for-Assembly improvements
  • Monitoring the functioning of all tools equipment and report any problems to the supervisor
  • Cleaning of all parts as per established cleaning procedures
  • Performing final checks and adjustments for any defects to ensure high-quality products
  • Installation, repair, inspection, reassembly, replacing, refitting and adjusting products as required
  • Responsible for the use of test and validation equipment and tooling to assess pass/fail criteria for product
  • Pull components from inventory according to company inventory-keeping procedures and transfer materials to different workstations according to kitting procedures
  • Developing preventive maintenance procedures for tools to avoid any breakdowns and failures
  • Maintaining work area clean, safe, and organized


Position Requirements:

 

  • 5+ years of product manufacturing experience at an assembly technician level
  • 10+ years of experience in a production environment
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in challenging fast-paced project scenarios
  • Time management skills in fast-paced environments
  • Basic software fluency



Considered an asset:


  • Experience in hydrogen fuel cell operation or design
  • Experience in automotive industry development programs and prototype development
  • Background in mechanical assembly of complex components
  • Knowledge in mechanical assembly techniques 


Physical Demands:  

 

  • Hands-on mechanical and electrical assembly may be required
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds may be required.
  • May spend up to 75% of the day standing, walking
  • Work will be 100% indoors
  • Afternoon shift work and irregular schedules may be required
