We have an opportunity for a position to support our business as Supply Chain & Material Handling Coordinator. Based at Loop Energy head-office in Burnaby, British Columbia, the position involves assisting our team in coordinating incoming shipments and distributing parts to production. Acting as a liaison between supply chain and operations, the position will require a detail-oriented, flexible, and highly motivated individual to connect with suppliers providing assistance to purchase and quality departments. The successful candidate will

  • Assists with material resource planning, inventory control, and inventory counting
  • Administrate and updates weekly / monthly reports & tracking sheets for logistics and inventory management
  • Enters purchase orders for production materials, as well as for prototypes and MRO items
  • Responsible for receiving incoming shipments and distribute parts to production, quality control or other department   matching packing slips to PO’s and recording discrepancies
  • Performs tracking and expediting of shipments and works with freight forwarders and couriers to arrange outbound shipments as well as prepare shipping documents and other required paperwork.
  • Enters the receiving paperwork in ERP system, working with vendors to collect proof-of-delivery and perform reconciliations with accounts payable
  • Contact suppliers for follow-ups on delivery timing and expedites orders
  • Assists with keeping the inventory shelves and bins organized
  • Works with customs brokers to clear inbound and outbound shipments
  • Help with packing shipments to local suppliers for ad-hoc testing and others as required


Qualification Requirements:


  • Education related to business, particularly with a specialization in the supply chain is preferred (e.g. TLOG, SCMP, PMAC, etc.)
  • Minimal experience of 2 years working with purchasing
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office, major in excel


Considered an asset:


  • Experience working with  ERP system
  • Manufacturing experience


Physical Demands:


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time; reach for tools and objects with hands and arms; climb stairs and talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. The employee must be able to see up close and at a distance, as well as use peripheral vision and depth perception, and be able to look at, read, and use a computer for long periods of time.
