We are looking for a highly-skilled Technical Sales Engineer to support our sales and business development activities. Based at Loop Energy head-office in Burnaby, British Columbia, the position involves supporting our North American as well as European sales and business development teams through all stages of the customer engagement process. Acting as a liaison between sales and product engineering teams, the position further informs product development efforts in respect of customer feedback, needs, and preferences. Prior experience with PEM hydrogen fuel cell vehicle and/or stationary power generation system integration is considered a strong asset for this position. The successful candidate will:
- Support sales and business development account managers by participating in meetings with existing and potential customers, explaining product features, and determining which products meet the needs of each individual customer
- Attend tradeshows, webinars, conferences, seminars to stay up to date on industry product as well as auxiliary system developments and prepare proposals, write up sales quotations and sales documentation packages
- Interfacing directly with auxiliary system partners, team members to establish a deep understanding of complete system functionality required to support customers throughout the sales and post-sales engagement process
- Support customers in establishing product service and maintenance programs in accordance with Loop’s recommendations
- Interface closely with the engineering and product development teams to establish and maintain a detailed understanding of product features, operating and integration requirements
- Regularly communicate customer feedback to the product and engineering teams thus informing new product development and product improvement activities
- Work closely with the marketing team in preparing whitepapers, product brochures, datasheets, and other marketing collateral as required
Qualification Requirements:
- Practical experience with integration of PEM hydrogen fuel cells with a battery-electric vehicle powertrain
- Excellent communication in English (speaking & writing) and interpersonal skills
- A customer focused and problem solver attitude
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in multiple time zones
Considered an asset:
- Prior experience with hydrogen-electric vehicle integration projects is a very big plus Experience with CanBus and ModBus data communication protocols
