We are looking for a Human Resources Advisor to join our fast and friendly environment. This position will play a critical role in providing exceptional HR support to employees. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, capable of working in a fast-paced, ability to pivot effectively as priorities and initiatives change in a dynamic environment. The successful HR professional will actively interact across departments to keep the employee experience at the core of the Human Resources responsibilities.

 

Loop’s nature as a rapidly growing green-energy company will also require the successful candidate to demonstrate a strong entrepreneurial spirit to help foster a dynamic and innovative work environment.

 

The successful candidate will

 

  • Provide support and guidance to employees on HR-related matters according to BC ESA
  • Support senior management in the organizational policies and best practices, providing guidance, advice, revise and edit policies and procedures and related documents as instructed
  • Manage payroll, payroll reconciliation, ROE’s, enter benefits deductions, T4, handle and support annual audit providing required documentation, and  other related payroll matters
  • Administrate HRIS BambooHR (Vacation, sick days, personal time off and generate reports as needed)
  • Coordination and administration of all benefit plans - such as Extended Health & Dental, Group Life Insurance, RRSPs, and Long Term Disability processing enrollment
  • Updates spreadsheets containing employee benefits information, eligibility, overage, spousal, and dependent information are properly processed
  • Maintenance and implementation of employee policies, procedures, employee handbook, and deliver the policies and procedures across the organization
  • Establish and document HR processes to ensure proper monitoring and compliance is in place - procedures manuals, checklists, HR forms and templates
  • Maintenance of employees and contractor personnel files, ensuring data accuracy and integrity, maintaining both hard and digital copies of employees’ records, filing of paperwork, scanning of confidential documents such as salaries raises, benefits, employment agreements
  • Preparation of employee letters such as employment verification, an invitation or visa letters, annual compensation, role change letters, announcements, and any HR related communication
  • Management of offboarding processes including asset return and exit interviews, follow off-boarding/termination procedures and checklists to ensure terminations, resignations, leaves
  • Attend Social Fun Committee, and support COVID-19 Task Force meetings
  • Ad hoc duties as required 


Position Requirements:

 

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the role of Human Resources
  • A Degree or Diploma in HRM or a related discipline
  • A CPHR/SHRM designation
  • Proven experience administrating benefit's packages and payroll matters
  • Strong analytical skills 
  • Fair knowledge of BC Employees regulations 
  • Advanced Excel, macros skills, and great ability creating reports to provide accurate data 

 

 

Considered an asset:

 

  • Prior experience in the high-tech industry strongly preferred
  • Hands-on and experience working in entrepreneurial environments and technology
  • HRIS proficiency such as BambooHR, with the ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Understanding of HR principles, policies, benefits practices, and ability to apply this knowledge to develop creative, effective solutions
