Targeting short- and regional-haul freight markets as a replacement for fossil-fuel powertrains, Loop’s tough, zero-emission hydrogen/EV engine creates consistent peak power, improved performance, and a competitive total cost of ownership, without subsidies. 

Our rapidly growing product development and operations teams are looking for a Project and Program Manager to lead the design and delivery of our future generation fuel cell engines as we scale-up for volume production. With dual reporting to the Vice President of Product Development and the Director of Operations, the Project and Program Manager will own the planning and execution of Loop’s current and future product development and customer integration projects. This position will appeal to candidates who enjoy performing in a fast-paced, highly technical, and collaborative environment.  You will have the opportunity to influence work across departmental boundaries and with external suppliers and customers. Position Responsibilities:

 

  • Plan, set, and control product development project schedule, budget, resources and deliverables
  • Formulate and execute highly technical program/project plans in a collaborative matrix environment
  • Lead the cross-functional project team, coordinate tasks, and lead regular project meetings
  • Support cross-functional teams and participate in the ‘collective’ to achieve project goals
  • Coordinate project milestone reviews including, product design reviews and releases.
  • Drive to resolve issues; escalate and develop action plans to proactively avoid delays and overages
  • Monitor and control project progress; provide regular internal and external reports on the project status.
  • Communicate with project stakeholders including cross-functional department leads on project/program status
  • Provide input and feedback on departmental and organizational improvements to achieve greater development and implementation efficiencies (continuous improvement)

Position Requirements:

 

  • Degree in Engineering or Science/ PMP certification or equivalent
  • 5+ years of related experience in managing complex engineering projects (hardware projects preferred)
  • Travel required approximately 4 weeks per year

 Other key assets:

  • Automotive experience preferred
